My husband received a call at work (he works in social services) from DS's former case manager. To make it short, our son's bio mom moved to GA Shortly after he went in foster care. We knew she had another child up there, but as far as we knew, he was in the home with the mother. Well, DS's case manager called myhusband today. Apaprently, mom has now had another child and both are in care in GA. She was calling to find out some info (altho according to my husband she didnt go into great detail). All we know is that the kids are inc are and being TPR'ed. No idea about their placement or anything, except that they are in FC. Mom lives in Eden GA, and I am not sure if it is the state of GA who handles foster care, or a privatized agency like here in FL. So, I wondered if someone might be able to give me some info, of where I can look for contact info. I want to contact the CM their and see if they are in need of an adoptive placement. Thanks!
Re: Anyone in GA??
Hi. I'm an attorney and represent DFCS in juvenile cases, but I'm nowhere near Eden. In fact, I've never heard of it, and am trying to Google to find out where it is.
If you know the county, then go to this link and call the county DFCS office:

Tell them you need to speak with a foster care supervisor. While I've never worked in (or heard of!) Eden, I have done DFCS work in eight metro Atlanta counties, and all offices I've worked with handle foster care themselves. Sometimes they will place with an agency who finds a foster home, but finding the case manager is still the place to start.
DFCS can be bad about returning calls and taking messages, so send me a message if you need some help. If you can tell me the name of the county, I could try to figure out the name of their attorney and give the attorney a call to try to figure out the case manager.
