Hey May Mamas!

My anatomy scan is tomorrow (!) so I'm pretty anxious about getting that one under our belt. I keep saying, "If we can just get to (fill in the blank), then I think I can relax." The anatomy scan has been the last big thing on that list, although I'm sure I'll think of the next thing as soon as we get past the scan. I guess the next one will be viability. I suppose it's always something when you're PgAL!

QOTW -  NBR:  Hmmm...maybe purses? I'm not a huge shopper, but I definitely splurge on at least one pretty nice purse a year. I'm sure I could go through my stash and re-use, but what's the fun in that?

QOTW - BR:  Probably the stroller. (Although I'm getting the feeling my mom has bought us one for Christmas.) We live in NYC and don't have a car, so we'll be using it tons. I'd rather splurge on a great one that will be able to handle all of the rough use it'll get.

I wish I were exaggerating when I say I have something from EVERY line at Bath & Body Works. I think I have a sickness.

Hoodies. I adore hoodies and babies in hoodies make me want to squeeeeee

I tend to buy a lot of scarves (and knit a lot of them too) and necklaces.  Maybe coats too.  I don't think there's any one thing I go crazy on, but there's a few I just keep buying.

Well, this is more for me, but definitely going for a good breast pump.  For baby, there's no one thing I have found yet.  I have to say 'yet' because I anticipate splurging here and there on our little man.

Coats and jackets. I hate winter so i guess i make myself feel better about it by buying lots of coats and jackets. DH is always complaining about our full coat closet.

We splurged on the bedding.

Originally I was just going to buy a few sheets and then buy a plain crib skirt too match. I fell in love with this set and ended up buying the whole bedding set. I know half the stuff in the set isn't "necessary," but I had to have the set. I plan to sell the bumper and use save the quilt for when he's a toddler.

Hmm, I'm not really a shopper (I love good deals, that's about it) so I can't really think of something I have too much of. Lotion maybe? I'm a sucker for soft skin.

As of right now, it's baby boots. I mean, how many pairs of shoes does a baby need? But I honestly can't help myself.

I hate to be a pain in the you know what, but since I'm back on the bump now could I be added to the list again? Please and thank you!! I'm pretty sure I was on it a couple months ago when I first got my BFP but since I took a bump break, I was understandably taken off!

My EDD is 5/6/2010. We have our anatomy scan TOMORROW and will be finding out what "team" we are on : )

QOTW -  NBR:  I'm gonna have to go with Carrie on this one and say Bath and Body Works stuff. I seriously have every kind of lotion, spray, candle, and soap possible from that store!!

QOTW - BR: Probably a good breast pump, since I will be returning to work after our LO arrives. Also, I already have bedding picked out from Pottery Barn Baby and it is most definitely a splurge in my opinion!!

Well, nothing really that I need "more" of, but one thing I keep buying, returning, then buying a different one is bedding/duvet set for our new bedroom when we move (whenever the heck that will be...).  I registered for a set at Restoration Hardware and it got discontinued right before my bridal shower so I returned the pieces I got (since the rest was discontinued) and started over.  Last summer I found a new set at Macy's, spent hundreds on all of it, always had a nagging feeling it wasn't right, and just returned it a couple weeks ago because I found a set I liked much better at, yup, Restoration Hardware.  I think I'm done though now with the bedding issue...

The baby food cooker, a good breast pump, and maybe bedding (see above addiction)

We are officially team BLUE!!!  We have to go back to do the cardiac part of our anatomy scan next Thursday as our little guy was not cooperating enough so far everything looks great.

I have a ton but I keep finding cute ones that I have to have which then leads to needing the matching gloves.

QOTW - BR:  Which baby item(s) will you splurge on?  I will probably splurge the most on the stroller/travel system and the nursery in general. I'm so obsessed with looking at nursery stuff online and cannot wait to start decorating.

Although, I'm sure there is something or a lot of somethings. I'm curious to see what DH has to say about this.  

QOTW - BR:  Which baby item(s) will you splurge on?  I will probably splurge the most on a crib and dresser because I want a crib that can be used again or will grow with the LO and be a toddler bed and continue to use the dresser for a long time.

Hi! I'm not here as often as I'd like but wanted to join the PGAL May 2011 Moms! I had a private u/s done on Saturday and I'm having a girl edd May 26th! I go for my anatomy scan on Jan 3rd.

Nursery furniture & bedding, maybe stroller... depends on what we get from our parents. I want the necessities to be sturdy and durable.

Right now I would have to say scarves and other winter accessories, I figure since the winters are pretty long and cold I may as well try and look good(or as good as I can all bundled up)

QOTW - BR:  Which baby item(s) will you splurge on? We still have all the big items from DD and they are gender neutral so the big purchase will probably be the double stroller and bedding.

I will be sure to let you guys know the results of the anatomy scan tomorrow.  I had an OB appt. today and even thought I have no reason to be freaking out about the baby's health, I am.

Not sure really.  I would have said the crib, but DH and his dad are making a crib for the baby. I think I'm going to spend more than I'd like (in on splurge anyway) on cloth diapers.  I just have to remember that, in the end, they'll cost less that disposables.
