I was getting Evan and myself ready this morning and he was being cranky if I left him on the floor. So to speed things up I let him sit in the middle of the bed while I was standing there with him. He was occupied with some clothes he found so I turned around to put something in the dresser and turned back around right as he was falling off the bed.
His head was hitting a pillow on the ground and I caught hime before his entire body hit the ground, but he was scared and so was I. He cried and cried for a good 5-10 minutes. I checked him out to make sure he was okay, and I knew he didn't slam into the floor, so I took him in the other roomto go play with his toys. He was fine and was happy and smiling, so I took him to daycare as usual.
He fell asleep in the car as usual and woke when we got to the school. He was fine until I handed him off to his teacher. He was crying like his limbs were being ripped off. All I could do was kiss him goodbye and tell him I would see him this afternoon.
I called and checked on him and he is just fine. Smiling and playing as usual. But even knowing that he is alright, I still feel like the worst mom in the world. I can't wait for this day to be over.
