treating yeast while staying in cloth

Have you successfully treated a yeast rash while LO remained in cloth?  If so, what did you do?

My DD has had a yeast rash for 6 (almost 7) weeks.  I have kept her in disposables this entire time, but I am antsy to get her back in cloth.

  • I don't think it's possible really. Unless you bleach everytime you wash, thus ruining your stash. GL, I'm in the same boat!

  • You'll have to bleach every single time you wash so it would be really hard on the diapers, not to mention the diaper liners and other accessories.
  • We're just wrapping up a relatively mild run in with yeast, and stayed in cloth.  We treat w/ the generic form of monistat 7 (add a layer of Burts Bees diaper rash on top when it gets intense to make sure the cream stays put) plus probiotic in her bottles (part of the problem was w/o daycare for the past 4 days, she'd only breast fed and had no probiotic).  I just use fleece liners while using the cream.  I know--and to some extent buy--the theory that you have to bleach it out, but our pediatrician pointed out that we all have yeast in residence all the time, and the rash is just it getting out of balance, and so the bleaching isn't necessary.  Who knows?
