Why is it that my kids only want to eat my food

as in take it straight from my hand to eat it.  I swear it could be the same thing I offer them but they like it especially best if they can eat my last bite or eat something that we are all out of.  Right now DD is eating my cold leftover pizza!  Yesterday for lunch I they ate mac n cheese and I was not feeling good so I made the Noodle Roni white cheese and cheddar about 30 minutes after their lunch and they ate 1/2 my lunch.  I know I should be happy they are eating something besides candy but I want to eat my own crap (insert whining)

My oldest does this to me and my husband and it drives me crazy.  On the days I am off and home with them, if I'm going to be eating something that I don't particularly want to share, then I wait until she goes down for a nap to eat my lunch so that I can enjoy it and eat lunch without interruptions!
