I wish I was naive again. There's a post on the August '11 board regarding a  sale at The Gap on maternity clothes. I can't help but think of the $300 worth of maternity clothes I bought in August that are currently collecting dust in my closet. Hopefully, I will get to use them soon, but after my loss, they were a really hard thing to look at.

What I would give to be naive again. I feel you on this! Over analyzing every twitch, pain, the feeling that MIGHT have been a pain, cramp, pee that is a little darker than normal... it gets exhausting.

I know what you mean. With my last pregnancy, I got some maternity pants and a shirt because I was bloated so badly. After the m/c, I couldn't stand to look at them. I actually hid them behind my ball gowns and other things that I wasn't going to look at every day. They stayed there for 2 years.

My husband and I were just having this conversation.  We were talking about cloth diapers, and I almost cried when I told him I was scared to jinx this pregnancy.  I hate that we feel this way, but we just have to tell ourselves that this pregnancy is different.

I always complain to my sister that I wish I could feel that overwhelming excitement that I WOULD be having a baby in 9 months... My sister had just M/Ced before my first BFP (so I wasn't excited for myself), and I haven't been able to get excited for these past two for obvious reasons. I told her I want to be one of those women that get a BFP & run around the house yelling, screaming & filling up a nursery living in complete ignorance that anything could go wrong.

As far as the pains & cramps I don't know what's "normal" anymore... so I've given up. I just drink my water, take my PVs, and eat good.

Honestly the birth month boards are kinda drivin me nuts, I just want to scream "DON"T DO THAT YET, YOU NEVER KNOW!!!! PROTECT YOURSELF AND WAIT!!"

me neither, maybe in month or so when the squee-ing starts to mellow out.  I do not care when they tell their IL's, dentist, garbage man, 3rd cousin, neighbors dog etc etc...

Man, I was just going to write a post like this.  Sometimes I just shake my head at some of the things I read on there.  I definately feel like I dont fit on on any of the other boards...

But on the maternity clothes topic...last pregnancy I had gotten a bunch of clothes (both maternity and baby clothes) from a friend but shortly after, we found out the bad news so I tucked them all away in a bag in the closet to not be looked at for awhile.  Well about two weeks after our loss - our dog decided to go in there and pull ALL of the clothes out of both bags, all over the bedroom.  Nice...

Hahahahaha, love this. This is why I'm so grateful for this board and for all of you. Although I will say that even with my first innocent pregnancy, I didn't do half the stuff some of the girls do on the month boards.

I hear what you are saying, but in regards to mat clothes, I never got far enough along the last time to even consider buying anything. However, around 7-8 weeks, I started picking up a couple of things here and there just because I have NO mat clothes and no friends to borrow any from. For me, it's a $$$ thing, I just want to pick stuff up every other paycheck or whenever I find a good deal.

Or planning their "FB announcements". I want to tear my hair out and scream "You're going to be hidden by at least 10 people when you do that!!!"

I wish that too!  I was that person last pregnancy.  We almost had finished the nursery by the time we found out anything was wrong.  Yesterday we were in toy r us getting Christmas presents for our nephew.  I wanted to go look at the baby stuff so bad, but I just wouldn't let myself do it.

I SO agree!  It's even worse when it's live people around you who are going crazy like that, who don't know your loss, and you just want to say, "Hey...that might not be the best thing to do just yet."  Sigh, hopefully after a healthy pregnancy a little of the naitivity can return.
