We watched the dvd last night (which is available from netflix) and thought it was great--although yes it can be a little cheesy at times. I've heard so many great things about the book, which I still plan to buy and reference, but it was nice to see his methods put to action and for dh to be able to watch and learn about as well. Dh was so impressed he even said it was probably one of the best movies we've seen this year. Smile

Anyways just thought I'd share for anyone else who's interested.

    I was planning on getting this for DH and I to watch... I have heard from a lot of people that it is a great book and helps.  I know that they have it at our local library, and I was going to just rent it, but maybe I will use Netflix since they have it there... Was it on instant viewer, or did you have to have it shipped to your house?

    We took the Happiest Baby class offered at our hospital before DS was born. ?DH whined about going, but after DS was born he repeatedly said how happy he was we took it. ?It gave us both tools we could use when DS was crying for no apparent reason, but DH found it especially valuable, because he had almost no experience with infants.

    They gave us the DVD free at class, and we'll probably watch it before #2 arrives.?

    Eeek! I didn't know it was on DVD! Im reading the book right now but I would love to see the techniques being put to use!

    It works! My neighbor lent me her copy. We tried the tips with Jack and they work. I plan on picking up the next one in the next year or so.

    This book SAVED MY LIFE after I brought DS home.  He was my first, I had no expereince with babies, and he had colic.  I went from being in tears, getting screamed at and feeling completely helpless to being able to calm him down in seconds (literally!).  I was able to get some of my sanity back thanks to this book.
