Acupuncture

It was funny because RJ told me to look into it and I thought about it, then my SIL mentioned it, and then I was reading an article about anti-coagulation and IVF in some RE journal and the next article was about acupuncture and how it increased the success rate of IVF pretty significantly. So I looked online and found a place near my house that specialized in infertility, and while they don't participate in my insurance they do offer a discount program though the insurance.

I went for my first appointment today and I feel so much better already. My mood feels better, I'm a little tired but she said that was to be expected and just roll with it. But the best part is I've had this pain in the back of my shoulder from where I fell down a flight of stairs last December that acts up when I'm stressed, so I told her about it and she put 5 small needles in my shoulder that will stay there for 3-5 days and my shoulder feels better than it has in year!!! She may be my new BFF.

So thank you RJ and universe for dropping the hints to get me there!

Hooray for acupuncture - I find it to be so relaxing. I hope it helps with your IVF!

I'm so glad you decided to try it out!  I am totally giving my acupuncturist credit for clearing up my cysts and allowing me to start IVF.  Sounds like you had a great appt - hope it helps with your IVF and your pain!

I loved acupuncture! I wish it wasn't so expensive. My insurance wouldn't cover any of it. I'm glad you like it!

I've gone too and it is really great!!  Glad to hear it helped your shoulder too!!  I really think going on Friday helped my follies mature significantly.  I'm on CD 8 (follistim + TI) and I had 3 - a 12, 14 and 15.  They say you should do it the day of and then after egg transfer with IVF.  I know some girls who have had success - you can't say it was due to the acupuncture, but it sure can't hurt.

So glad you liked it. My RE is pretty adamant of IVF with acupuncture I love acupuncture and give it a big credit to lowering my FSH and a successful IVF. If anything it brings my stress levels down a lot, that alone is very important. If you start having or already do have anxiety, have them put the ear points in. They are tiny needles that are covered with what looks like a dot bandaid. When feeling off, just give them a squeeze and voil?! They are my life saver. Enjoy!

I had a friend who kept urging me to try it so I finally made an appointment today.  I'm very excited for the experience!!!
