Jacquline (not Jacqueline) for MN - made up? WDYT?

We have chosen Elise as our DD's first name but we're stuck on the middle name.  Jacqueline is on our list but I don't think the flow is the greatest.  Last night one of my friends suggested Jacquline (pronounced Jack-leen, I would think).  Does it sound made up?  I found it on a few baby name sites but it was not on the site I usually look at.  How would you pronounce it?  Is that how you'd spell it?  Our last name sounds like Corey.

Yes, the traditional spelling is Jacqueline. Americanized it turned into "Jack-Kwa-Lyn"

I think you will still get people who pronounce it that way even without the "e."

My family is French, and we've always pronounced it Jack-leen...with the J sounding a bit like a Z...I also found it on BTN if that helps.

I would change the spelling at all either...it looks like you didn't know what you were doing.

Oh, and I just remembered...the movie Ever After had a Jaqueline (Jack-leen) in it.

Spell it Jacqueline and pronounce it how you want. The only case (in this name) where spelling would change the pronunciation is in Jaclyn. Jacqueline, IMO, can have many pronunciations: Jack-linn, Jack-leen, and Jack-kwa-lin (which I dislike the most).

I would go with something different altogether.  I think people will think you just mis-spelled Jacqueline.
