When we were pregnant with our first we went all out on a gender reveal party for our families. Everyone came dressed in pink or blue depending on which 'team' they were on and after a nice dinner out, we all came back to our place and cut the cake. We didn't know what we were having until then as we gave our secret envelope to the baker so it was a big event that was all video taped. Now that we are having #2, I feel like I have no ideas for this second one and everyone keeps asking us how we are going to reveal baby #2. Does anyone have any creative ideas? We likely won't be able to get everyone together again, so I was thinking about trying to do something more personal for our parents. My DH and I will find out on New Years Eve...so any ideas would be grealty appreciated! ![]()

we're doing the cake for #2. I can't remember ever doing anything special for the 1st one.
so cheesy, but you could buy only blue or only pink/red fireworks or sparklers
Join our wiki and tell us what your baby eats for finger foods.
For DS we made a card that said the little poem abouts boys "Frogs and snails and puppy dog tails....that's what baby Lastname boys are made of" and had the ultrasound picture next to it in frame we wrapped up for our parents.
This time around we are hopefully finding out the afternoon before our immediately family Christmas so I am thinking we will try to do a pinata that's filled with either pink or blue candy and let all of the little kids bust it open. Hopefully it works out and I can find what I need to make it happen.
I like that idea...
.I must be lame...I didn't think to do a party I just wore a Pink shirt to work the day after my big U/S and everybody i didn't see that day or talk to ..either heard on FB or in my Christmas letter
We did this with our immediate family, but had our DS open the box. It was easy, cheap, and cute! I wrapped up the box and put both a blue and pink bow on top to make it a bit more festive.
