Three weeks ago I got diagnosed with GD, on Friday I had 2 high bp readings and got put on bed rest for the weekend and today I am spotting for the first time this entire pregnancy. It's very minimal spotting but with everything else going on, I am freaked out. I called the answering service for my practice and am waiting for them to call back. If I don't hear from them soon, I'll go to the hospital, I guess.

    Well, the doctor called back and said if I hadn't had intercourse or an internal exam recently (which I hadn't), that I should go to L&D to get checked out. So I did and they put me on the monitor and did a bunch of tests, and thank goodness everything was fine. My first two bp readings were high, but it calmed down for the last two. I have an OB appointment on Monday, so I'll follow up then. I felt a little sheepish about going in, but the doctor and nurse said I did the right thing. It's the hospital where I'll deliver, and they made me feel really comfortable, which is good.

    Yes, I'm still on bed rest at least until my appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the b/w and 24 hour urine collection are ok.
