Help me feed 32 people - TOMORROW!!!

I invited immediate family over for DS#1's birthday tomorrow. I don't know why, but I never bothered to count how many people it actually was. I just about had a panic attack when I realized that I invited 32 people. I have done NOTHING in the way of planning for this. The original idea was pizza and cake, but now I'm thinking I need to do more, like at least some apps, drinks and maybe some wine and beer.

Any ideas for some super easy stuff that I can whip up tomorrow afternoon? I still need to go food shopping and everything. Whoops.

  • Big trays of veggies and dip. Couple big crock-pots of chili. Big pans of cornbread. Big cake.

Big is the operative word for all of it, LOL. And this last minute with that many people- I'd keep it super simple or else it's just not going to be very manageable without a lot of stress.

  • Get the pizzas and breadsticks.  Make (or buy) a big salad.  Set out chips and dips, I would go with a queso, guacamole and salsa.  Or add in a spinach artichoke dip.  Do a fruit tray with dip with the appetizers, and cheese and crackers.

Two cases of beer, two different 12 packs of soda and a couple bottles of wine.

I was just going to say this! Chili is always great for crowds.

  • A taco bar could work too. I do chicken breasts in the crockpot with a couple cans of enchilada sauce and some taco seasoning and cook, then shred, you can also do ground beef. Then just add all the toppings, plus chips, dip, guac, etc

  • I second the chili.  We do a chili bar for our halloween party, which has at least 50 people.  I get lots of toppings and have a huge crock of chili.  I usually do a crock of mac n cheese too, since a lot of kids don't eat chili.

I used to do a taco bar party for Christmas Eve, it was fun too and easy to feed loads of people, especially if you have a lot of people who are picky eaters or veggie.

Apps, chex mix (I make my own, but you can buy it), chips and salsa or potato chips and onion dip, nuts, cheese and crackers, and veggie and or fruit tray with dip.   I usually put out goldfish and/or animal crackers if there are a lot of kids.

  • Drink, a champagne punch and a non-alcohol punch for the kids and non-drinkers, and egg nog (which I have never tasted, lol.)

Apps, does your pizza place make anything like garlic knots?  Maybe frozen apps cooked in your oven like pigs in a blanket, cheese, crackers and pepperoni.  Pumpernickle bread and a spinach dip, veggies potato chips and onion or ranch dip.
