If a Lego set is going for $450 on amazon

Does that mean it's been discontinued?  Or possibly just everyone is out of stock?  Or could a Lego set (a Duplo set) go for that much at retail? It's only 60 pieces.

what the hell? I just ordered that one from walmart/swag grabber for $10 and its 250 pcs... (lego bricks not duplo)

My guess is a typo but Amazon can be nuts.

Look here.  Just paste the link from amazon and it tells you the price history.  It is not perfect, but pretty good.

It's not a typo; it's about that price everywhere at the moment.

Thanks for the link, Joe.  It looks like retail is around $100.  Still seems absurd for 60 pieces.

That happens when its OOS everywhere.  Last year, I wanted the GeoTraxx Grand Central Station and it was way high on Amazon since no one else carried it.  Come to think of it, the Station was discontinued, so maybe they raise it crazy high when its OOS everywhere and no one is anticipating on getting more.
