Anyone have an ovarian cyst?

Mine is 7 cm and is starting to cause more pain and discomfort.  I go to OB Tuesday and will be sure to mention it, but my old practice thought 7 cm was "small" and all I had was it monitored for a year.  My new practice said that it is "large" and I may need to have something done with it.  That makes me nervous (obviously) because it can cause preterm labor/miscarriage, etc. 

Have any of you had a cyst?  What was done about it?

I have lots of systs in my short 25 years of life. I started to get them when i was 15. i usually always get them on my right side, so everytime I get really bad pains from one they have to look at my appendix also.. Its annoying. What my doc always does when i get a particually painful cyst, is monitor the size of it through an ultrasound once a month. Most doctors will NOT do anything with a cyst while you are pregnant though because it could cause complications. Most of the time the syst will start to diminish on its own after a little while. I had cysts on both my ovaries but they weren't that big and they didn't give me any problems. I had a c/s and so she wanted to look at them but didn't think she'd have time to get to them. Well lo and behold both cysts were easily accessible during the c/s so she got both of them. Sent them off for testing and it was nothing just gunk.

With my first MC, they discovered a 4 cm complex cyst on my right ovary. Through this pregnancy they will monitor it, but they said there's not much else they would do right now.
