Never heard of it. You mean people actually wrap every little tube of chapstick and toothbrushes?
My mom did this for us growing up and it was, and still is, my fave part of Christmas! I think I like the idea behind it...you know, it shows the cost of the items doesn't matter. It's the thought, time and effort that is more important.

Totally agree. We wrap every tiny thing. A bottle of nail polish? Wrapped. A package of hair ties? Wrapped.
I LOVED opening all the "presents" on Christmas morning, plus it made what could be a super fast event (opening presents) last longer! Now, My DD loves seeing all those wrapped gifts - to her, it is a freaking GOLD MINE!
No, I had never even heard of anyone doing this before the nest. For us, the things Santa brings are never wrapped and that includes the stocking contents.
I wrap some of them. We don't do a ton of presents under the tree, so it extends the wrapping a bit. I'll wrap things like DVDs, the PlayDoh 4 pack, special things like the tape measure that DS asked for, that sort of thing. But the rest is just tossed in.
