Amnio at 37weeks?

Has anyone had am amnio at 37 weeks? We are having on done on monday.. If it come back at a high enough level then we will have a c-section right after.. I just hope that at 37weeks she will be ready..

I had one at 37w 2d. The lung test came back fine, and the amnio caused me to start contracting. My CS was the next day... Baby boy was perfectly healthy, didn't need the 4 NICU nurses they had waiting. They will be ready for anything at 37 weeks, but your LO will be fine!

If I could do it again, I'd say no amnio.

I havnt had one, but it is definately a possibility for us next month. 2 of my friends recently had them at 36 weeks right before their inductions and they were both ready to go as well!

I will have one wednesday, which will be my 37w mark exactly.

I was scheduled for an amnio at 37w5d w/ a c/s scheduled for the next day.  I never made b/c I went into labor at 36w6d.  Gracie only spent about an hour in the "level 2" nursery b/c her respiratory rate was a little high.  Other than that, she was in my room w/ me 2 1/2 hours after she was born.  I'm sure all is fine.  Some organization of something or other (you like that technical knowledge right? LOL) says that you have to have an amnio if you plan on a delivery before 39 weeks.

I had an amnio at 37 weeks with DS1.  His lungs were mature enough and they delivered him that day.  With DS2, I had an amnio at 36 weeks.  His lungs weren't quite mature enough, but very close they said.  I was having many complications, so they decided to deliver anyway.  He was perfectly fine, did not need any help breathing or spend any time in NICU.
