anyone else heard of this? we researched why our lo was SO gassy (like
abnormally gassy) and found something called hyper-lactation syndrome
where mom makes a TON of milk and baby gets a large percentage of
foremilk (which produces lots of gas) rather than a good amount of
hindmilk (which is more calorie laden and better for baby.) I can nurse
DD for 20-30 minutes and then pump 8 ounces after. I will frequently
spray DD in the face and she gulps the first few minutes because my milk
comes rushing out so fast. Anyone else have this problem?
Re: hyper-lactation syndrome
I'm going to look into this. I spray alot too and have a very gassy baby. Today I hand expressed and soaked 2 cloth diapers because my boobs were so engorged.. I just thought I was a freak because most people here talk about their inability to nurse, not the opposite haha
