  • How are you doing?  Where are you in your cycle?  What is new?

Still waiting for AF to arrive after being out this cycle due to the surgery. It feels like forever but its been a nice break from temping, and thinking about it all the time. I "think" AF is coming this week... oh joy. RE appt on Feb 4th.... wish it were sooner!

    What are your holiday plans?

We are returning to the Bay Area to see my family. We always did Christmas Eve with my grandmother. We just had her Memorial Service last weekend and will return again next weekend to my families home for Christmas. It will be bittersweet but I'm happy we can make the trip.

I totally agree! Praying for all of you ladies!!!

I am doing great. Just lurking mostly recently. We are wiating on DE's and just mailed in our adoption application this week. Not sure I am mentally ready for the home study process..it makes me nervous.. but we are waiting for both.

    What are your holiday plans?

Christmas is tomorrow with my family here in town. We have already had christmas with DH's family. So after tomorrow it will be time to breath....and pay the bills!

  • Hi, hav2run.  I'm new here, but thought I'd jump in :-)

    How are you doing?

Honestly, I am anxious.  This is literally our first month TTC, and have gone about it in a totally half-assed way (no scientific methods, charting or anything - just observing CM and taking a guess).  A month ago, I wasn't concerned about our ability to conceive, and now I am in a complete panic because of my age (quickly approaching 38).  I have absolutely no reason to believe I'll have problems, but I am suddenly painfully aware of the realities of my age, especially since I am the very, very last of my friends to not have kids (admittedly, it was by my own choice.)  I need to calm the heck down, but I'm having a hard time accomplishing that.

Where are you in your cycle?

I'm not exactly sure - I think I'm somewhere around CD-13.  Planning on using ClearblueEasy next month to get a little more accuracy - all of my girlfriends swear by it.

    What is new?

Um, TTC? LOL.  Otherwise, I generally work a lot, and am just trying to get stuff done for the holidays.

    What are your holiday plans?

Going to see my parents and sisters for Xmas, and then we'll spend New Year's Eve with some friends.

I would be very, very shocked if I got a BFP for Christmas this year, considering that we didn't try very hard this month.  I'm hoping for one next month.  Good luck to you and all of the other ladies!

  • How am I? Swamped with end-of-year work and, see below...

Where am I in my cycle? I'm 11 dpo today after IUI #5 (which was 12 days ago).  I am trying not to read into the fact that my BBs have been sore since about 8 dpo and are still hurting; after all, last cycle something like this happened (but actually a little later, like around 11 or 12 dpo but not before) and AF arrived right on schedule.  As I posted separately a couple of days ago, I've made a consult appointment with an alternate RE for the end of January in case we are moving to IVF which looks increasingly likely though I'm holding onto just a shred of hope that we won't have to.

Holiday plans: DH should be able to get here on the 22nd, at which point we can go get a tree and he can manage to do his Xmas shopping....have a work conference to go to Jan. 5-9.  Other than that, hanging out and doing work.

    BFPs for all!

  • Hi everyone!

I'm on day 10 of my cycle. This will officially be my second cycle of TTC but depending on my mood I will either tell you it is my first try, my third try or month 5 of "Tales from my Uterus". I did a lot of testing over the summer, had one cancelled IUI and one failed IUI, but I am convinced I know why it failed so it's not really a failure so I am calling this next one my first REAL try. Looking like it will be 12/23.

I am very much looking forward to the holidays this year. My brother is coming to visit and we are doing a big Christmas with friends and family. Hopefully it will keep my mind off the 2WW.

I hope everyone else has a very Merry Christmas! And BFPs to all!

    Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey
  • Lovely CD 1 for me. I was expecting it after a couple days of falling temps and other signs, so I'm just glad to know AF will be done and gone for the holidays.

I'm looking forward to our first Christmas as a married couple, spending time with family and getting a 4-day weekend.

Hoping the New Year brings us all the miracles we're trying for.

  • I am 4 DPO, but not optimistic, due to DH's test results showing low motility. DH had his first appointment with a urologist this week and goes back to the uro in a month for a repeat SA and ultrasound. Assuming that the uro doesn't have a miracle cure for DH (unlikely), the next step will be a consult with our RE to make a plan for IVF. Of course there's always a chance that we'll get pregnant on our own but at this point I think that would take pretty close to a miracle, and I don't have the patience or egg reserve to wait around for one.

As for the holidays, we don't really celebrate Christmas, but we do spend Christmas eve with some close friends, and then Christmas day we'll go spend time with my family doing the movie and Chinese food tradition.  The good thing is that my company closes between Christmas and New Year's, so after Wednesday I don't go back to work until January 4th!!

Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone!

PS - Mt. Laurel - by any chance is that for Mt. Laurel, NJ? My family lives there...

All I want for christmas is a BFP for somebody (everybody) on this board!!!

About me: A pixie in the city, 41, TTC #1 since May 2010, married 18 years. Diagnosed with, surgically removed, endometrioma Aug.2010 Sept 2010 IUI #1=BFN, Oct=cyst/bfn, Nov 2010 IUI #2 = bfn. Had to postpone IUI #3 b/c of a cyst natural=BFN. Skipped IUI #3, decided to go for IVF. Found/removed uterine polyps Jan 2011. IVF cancelled, no follicles. IVF #2: 3 great embies put in on Easter Sunday = BFN. Hoping for another chance at IVF in July. TTC is NOT for wimps. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ticker/2fab90/ttc.png
  • CD24 here, no O so far- really hoping I O on my own since we are not doing Clomid this cycle. I am trying to keep the ttc stress to a minimum this time and just relax and enjoy the holidays We are crazy busy at at work now- I'm a pediatric NP, but I'm just working 2 days next week- yay! My in-laws are taking us to the beach after Christmas. Can't wait to just sit around reading and eating some good seafood :) Lots of luck to you all!!

  • After a marathon cycle of 70 days, I finally got AF thanks to some meds. I started taking my first round of Femara yesterday and we're really optimistic that we can get an egg to show up. DH's SA showed borderline low count (25) and the RE wants him to see a urologist, but we're going to do Fertility Blend for a couple months to see if we can't improve his numbers. Holiday plans - family is coming here. 7 year old step daughter is also here. Went to a Christmas party tonight and there was an adorable 7 month old baby in a Santa outfit who crawled over to me and grinned. Made me yearn.... Good luck to everyone - can't wait to see a wave of BFP's (and hopefully be part of it)!!!

How are you doing?  Where are you in your cycle?  What is new?

Fairly new here.  I'm 36 (37 in Jan) DH and I are TTC#3, but not too actively yet.  We have a meeting with my OB and RE next week to discuss any issues I may have if I have baby#3.  Both my boys I had preterm labor and we had some genetic concerns with baby#2, so we are thinking about doing IVF with PGD to test for genetics, but not sure we can afford another IVF.

I'm only about 1DPO or 2DPO, but I doubt anything will happen this cycle.  When we conceived naturally the 2 times we did, (TMI alert) we did a different position that I think was just what worked for us.  So, probably not likely this month, but I would be ok with it.  Not sure I want 2 under 2, but would be happy if it did happen.  I am a little on the fence about TTC#3 anyway.  I want a big family, but having some doubts about having the boys share a room and also tempting fate since we already have 2 beautiful boys.  I am feeling a little greedy wanting another baby.  I should be happy with what I have, but I would like a bigger family.  I guess things will be more definite once we meet with the RE and OB next week.  Good luck to all!

    What are your holiday plans?,

We are having Christmas Eve at a family friend's and then the entire family at our house for the first time on Christmas!  I am a little nervous about having everyone this year.  We usually all go to my grandparents for Christmas, but this year my grandma is in the hospital after triple by-pass surgery and grandpa is by himself and not able to have everyone since he has the start of alzheimer's.  Hopefully all will be ok for us.

    Baby #1: 19 cycles, failed IUI, and 1 + IVF 3-5-07
Baby #2: 12 cycles, 1 failed FET, natural miracle but m/c at 9 weeks then another natural miracle that stuck! 9-30-09

    TTC #3 - 4 cycles - no BFP yet!

Don't feel that way, BensWife - you are perfectly entitled to want as many children as you can handle.  You're taking precautions by working with your doctor and looking at your options, and that's all you can do!  We women are made to feel guilty by society about so many things in this life (guilty for having no/too many children, choosing to be working/SAH moms, guilty for seeking a career/squandering opportunity), that you really do not need to do it to yourself ;-)

  • Doing well.  Just got back home after spending a whirlwind weekend with the in-laws for their family Christmas.  This week will be crazy busy with preparations for Christmas.  My parents are coming to town and I will be hosting Christmas dinner so I have a lot to do.

I am in the middle of the 2ww.  AF is due on the 26th, so I'm thinking about testing on the 24th so that if I have to take a day to wallow it will be before Christmas.  Still don't know what I"m going to do about that.

I agree we need some BFP's around here.  And I'm hoping I'm one of them! Good luck to all!!

  • Hi Ladies!

I am 12 DPO today, but our timing was terrible if you look at my chart. I ovulated very early and had negative OPK's before, so I just didn't see it coming.

I am happy my LP has lengthened to 11-12 days, though! And I have had less spotting than the past two cycles.

I also want to see some BFP's over here! Merry Christmas everyone Smile

  • How are you doing? Doing ok for a Monday just tired after a busy weekend.

Where are you in your cycle? CD 16 & my temps are crazy, yesterday FF said I O on CD12 which is normal for me, but when I put my temp in this morning it took my O day out.  It seems right that the 12th would have been the day due to my CM & I've been having cramping/pinching the past few days.  So who knows I'll have to wait to see what happens.

What is new? Nothing really just getting things ready for Christmas.

What are your holiday plans? Family is coming in town & where going to my parents for a party on Christmas Eve at night & doing DH's parents early in the day Friday.  Not sure what we're doing on actual Christmas day maybe visiting.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas Big Smile

  • How are you doing? Exhausted after a busy weekend and glad to be in my quiet office

Where are you in your cycle? not really sure and I can say that for the first time in a year - it's almost a relief.  I start Lupron on christmas morning for our DE IVF in January and have to have an endometrial biopsy on the 28th b/c my RE says they see improved pregnancy rates when they do it prior to ET.  Ummm ok?

What are your holiday plans?  We always stay in town for the holidays but this year my parents and sister and her family and me and my family are all going to a resort in Boca Grande FL.  I'm really looking forward to it but it's alot of work getting everything together to have christmas off site!

  • How are you doing? Ok, tired after a great weekend in NY City. Looking forward to a short work week!

where are you in your cycle?  CD7 and got a high on the CBEFM. It will be a busy week in the bedroom, haha! O will probably take place on Christmas.  Going to the RE on 1/6 (I won't actually know if this cycle is a bust on that day but we'll go anyway).

Holiday Plans: Much to my annoyance, DH has to work on Christmas Day(police).  We have to take two cars to my sister's in CT on Christmas Eve, he will have to leave around 7am Christmas morning and I will drive to MA to his sister's for Christmas night. Lots of traveling and it will ruin my plans for lots of wine consumption since I have to drive!!! I was supposed to pregnant and it wouldn't matter but of course it didn't work out that way.

    Good luck to all!

  • Hey all!  I'm new here.  My hubby and I just got married October 16 and immediately started TTC.  I am 38 and he is 42.  I have never been pregnant and he has a 14 yr old son.  Hoping and pryaing that a baby is in the master plan for us!

How are you doing?  Doing OK.  Trying to stay busy and not think about "am I pregnant" or "am I getting ready to start my period".  It is maddening! lol

where are you in your cycle? I'm on CD28.  AF is schedule to show on the 23rd, so I'm just hanging in there and waiting.  Sucks that PMS and early PG symtoms are so similar!  hah

Holiday Plans: We are driving from FL to my family's in Southern IL on Wednesday.  Looking forward to spending some time with my folks and the rest of the family. Smile

Good luck to everyone!  Would love to see a bunch of BFP's over the holidays!  Merry Christmas!

How are you doing?  Where are you in your cycle?  What is new?

I am doing okay, I have healed physically from D&C, but emotional I am not there yet.  I am waiting on AF to show up, had the D&C on 11/23/2010 so it should be coming real soon, or so i hope!

    What are your holiday plans?

We alternate years between going to VA and spend with DH family and staying here and being with my crazy family, this is my year with my crazy family.  We will go to my papaws on Christmas Eve, then Christmas Day we will cook dinner for my mom, so nothing fancy or exciting!

Can someone here please post some Holiday BFPs?  We need a new wave of TTC35 success stories!

  • I don't know if anyone will remember me.  I was fairly new but a regular poster until last October, and I must apologize for not bumping for so long.  When AF showed in late October I was really upset, but I was more devastated by dh's reaction, or lack thereof.  I didn't think we were on the same page anymore about ttc, so I quietly gave up and closed myself off.  We are blessed to have 3 healthy children, but we decided a year ago to try for one more.  We gave ourselves a year to ttc--until my 38th birthday in Nov.  I got pg and mc in Jan. '10, and we continued ttc the rest of the year with wonky cycles and some performance problems from dh.  So when everything finally came together in October (+OPKs, good timing, multiple bd days), it was defeating when AF showed up.  I figured we had one more cycle to go, and when it seemed dh wasn't into it--well, what was the point.  I've lurked here once a week or so to check in on everyone, but didn't have much to say since I wasn't ttc anymore.

So to make a long story even longer ;-), we talked things out, got back on the same page and decided to continue ttc through the end of the year.  Nov.--no luck.  I wasn't surprised because dh was having the same problem "finishing."  It wasn't looking good for this month either, so we tried Instead cups.  Today, I'm 14dpo, and BFP!  I'm cautious about it b/c of the mc earlier this year, but when I saw some of you hoping for a new wave of BFP's I thought maybe I could start one. :-)

This is such a great board--everyone here is so friendly, supportive, and fun.  At times I felt guilty for ttc again, when so many are still waiting for their take-home baby.  I wish BFP's and take-home babies for all of you!  *****baby dust*****

I am a regular bumpie, but new to this board.  I just turned 40 in October and DH is 45. DH has 2 from a previous marriage, and we have one DS, and are trying to give him a sibling.  How are you doing? I've been better; cycle 11 is about to end, based on my declining temps.  I've given myself 2 more cycles and then I think I will be ready to give up - as I told DH last night, I am tired of trying, I am tired of the disappointment.  The doctor has me on clomid and progesterone, so we will see what happens.

Where are you in your cycle? Today is CD29 and 17dpo, but had a bfn on Saturday.

What is new? Waiting to start cycle 12

What are your holiday plans? Nothing big...our family is out of state, and because of DH's job, we are unable to go any where.  We will be going back to Texas on Jan 1 for a few days to visit my dad.

Can someone here please post some Holiday BFPs?  We need a new wave of TTC35 success stories!  I'll volunteer, I think it's about time!

I don't know if anyone will remember me.

    Congrats!!!  Wishing a H&H 9 months!!!

  • Currently 7 DPO. We are in our second month of TTC. I have a thyroid condition that worries both myself and my regular endocrinologist, But I am continuing to try and remain calm about it all. We have put aside my quarterly mammograms with the advise of my OBG & Radiologist for our 6 month trial period as well. ( Biopsies continually come back benign and my DH is close to convincing me that its just a money racket now for me & my personal case and I am not opposed to testing, just pausing for a while to TTC after the past 2 years ) Also, My DH and I are just celebrated our 6 Month Anniversary for Quitting Smoking by finally paying off the dental bills, as I seemed to rack them up easily this year. We have prepared what we could, researched what we could, and changed our diet. We have thrown ourselves into this full force. We have wanted this for so long, tried every so often but never began tracking, dietary changes, pre-natals, dr appts, etc. until recently.

We are planning on driving North to spend Christmas with my family.

I don't post regularly, BUT I do check in daily. I am hoping to hear BFP stories!! Good luck to us all!!

Thank you.  We're praying for a sticky bean, and I hope maybe it'll start a trend here.  Those BFPs do tend to come in waves.

    I didn't realize you had a loss.  I'm very sorry. :-(
