Help daycare gift question - do I buy for...

the owner of the daycare?

DD has two teachers for her class. One of which is the co-owner of the daycare. We are planning on getting gift cards for the teachers for both kids, and DH thinks that we shouldn't give one to the teacher/owner. I disagree. She's our daughter's teacher. The lead teacher in the classroom. I think that just because she's the owner, we shouldn't treat that any differently. DH thinks that since she is the owner, there is no reason to give a gift.

WDYT? Give the gift or not?

And I am still having trouble not giving all the helpers the filter in and out of the classrooms a gift (and only know a couple of their names), so if you have any ideas there, I'll take them.

Re: Help daycare gift question - do I buy for...

  • We do.  My sibs and I send a gift basket to the front desk staff, which includes the owners.  None of them teach the kids, but they interact with them everyday and are wonderful.

  • yes, since she teaches in the classroom.  No one gets rich in childcare, not even the owner- so if you have the ability to give a gift, go for it.
