DH promised Lil Miss a Horse

Today at lunch time, Lil Miss told her Daddy she needed a horsey to ride.  A little one.

And my husband, in his infinite wisdom, told her he is getting her one for Christmas.

So she has been asking me all afternoon about her horsey. Not only should it be little, just for her, but also blue.  Or green. Or blue green.

She wants to know if it will be here soon.  

Oh, and he is working OT, so he won't have to answer to her anytime soon.

And did I mention I've been done both her Christmas and Birthday presents since Black Friday?  So getting a toy ride on horse was *not* in my plans. At all.

 

 So does anyone have any suggestions for how I distract her?

yeah, I thinking DH is going to need to pick up a paint brush when he goes to get this horse.  The rocker is super cute!

lol, right!  I know, she's speaking so well.  Gavin is just a month younger and starting small sentences, but not like that!

OMG Wendy, you're lucky! Lil Miss tells me what to do all.day.long.

As in "Need Blueberries. Right there. On top. On top the fridge. Right There. Need to cook.  Right there, behind my door."

Tell her there isn't any left and she says  "Go to store. Outside. Need Jacket. C'mon 'Nay."

Please note that she needs everything, everything is hers or for her, and she often refers to me by my first name. Its so hard not to laugh at her. you can see how she talks her Daddy into these things...

If he wants us to do something, he comes over and holds out his hand and says "hand" then leads us to where he wants us.  "ope-it" (open it), "outside", "hungeat!" (hungry) are big ones right now.

he's starting to want to do things himself too...he has to brush his teeth.  "MY DO IT!" 

it was so funny the other day....he was in his bath and he started splashing water everywhere and yelling "raining!"

My parents bought Mari a Rody Horse for Christmas - it's supposed to help with coordination and balance and it blows up bigger and bigger depending on how big the kid.

Renee, do you have Big Lots out there?  I just saw a ride on rocking horse there that was similar to the one I linked to earlier and it was reasonably priced.

 Wendy, I have to say I am loving the idea of sending DH to Big Lots the week before Christmas.  And he thought Black Friday was bad... wait til he sees the mall!!  heeheehee
