BOY!
Wasn't shy about showing it off either! Everything looks great and he measured exactly 20 wks, which is exactly what I am today! They estimated his weight at 12 ounces. Maybe he will be born on his due date like DD was?!?!?
But the most interesting part of the whole thing was the part where I fainted. WTH?!?! Yeah, I fainted at an ultrasound! Lame, I know.
Anywho, it wasn't because I was anxious or anything, it was because of the whole lying on my back and cutting off circulation thing! I wasn't flat though, my head and upper body were up at about a 30 degree angle, but I must've been at just the right angle to pinch off my superiour vena cava, which caused lack of blood flow and my BP dropped and I fainted!
I actually started to feel extremely nauseous, and my husband kept looking at me and finally whispered "do you feel okay"? I shook my head no. He later said my face was pale and my lips where white.
I asked the tech for some water, but then all of a sudden sat up because I had to vomit (but didn't, just dry heaved). Then I fainted as she was asking me to lie on my left side. She caught me and lowered me down to my side. When I "woke up" there were 2 nurses and an OB in the room. I was super hot and dizzy. The OB explained why I had fainted and they gave me orange juice, water and cold packs for my head.
They had to finish the ultrasound with me lying on my left side and a nurse stayed in the room for the remainder of the time! I was so embarrassed when we left! But I am completely fine now...just tired actually.
Time to shop for boy things ![]()

I was on the verge of fainting at my last u/s with DS#2 and at one of my exams with him I almost passed out on our OB. Both were close calls so I know what you mean!

Oh my goodness! But orange during an US sounds pretty awsome, lol! Not as awsome as finding out you're having a boy, though! Congrats!
Congratulations, how exciting to be expecting a boy!!
I kinda lurk on this board--I didn't realize that there was another MKE gal on here!!!
Awesome!
That's so weird and scary about fainting. Hopefully it was a one time thing!
