I went in for my first appt yesterday and the blood work results showed my thyroid was low functioning. The dr said they'll retest at my next appt to see if there has been any change and go from there. Anyone else have this happen? What was the outcome? I'm hoping it was just a fluke and that I don't end up on medication for hypothyroidism.
Re: Low Thyroid Function
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

Yes, I've had symptoms, I just assumed they were due to pregnancy. I have been very fatigued, achy, and beyond freezing lately. I thought I was just having a harder time adjusting to winter this year, but it has been ridiculous and our heat has been set higher than ever. Last night, I went to bed with a heating pad, just so I could fall asleep. I often can't fall asleep because I'm so cold, but then wake up later with night sweats. Once I read about hypothyroidism, the symptoms make sense.
Good luck at the doctor next week! Hopefully you get some answers.
Whoa, this is totally me! Right now I'm sitting in my cube wearing a wool hoodie with my space heater turned on full blast and I'm still freezing. I also wake up with night sweats. This gives me hope, thank yoU!!
