39 week appointment non-update

They won't induce.

Today's doctor (I see a practice) wanted to send me for a cat scan or an mri for the headaches. Um, no. How about we just get the baby out of me?

No dice. Says I'm not favorable for induction. I was checked 2 days ago (and since 37 weeks) and have been over a centimeter and 60-70% effaced. Today's doctor said I'm closed up tight.

I know that none of that means anything, but it felt like a set back and I burst into tears when he left. 

They won't strip or sweep membranes until I'm 40 weeks either. 

So my next appt is at exactly 40 weeks...send me progress or labor or water breaking or something dust that I don't make it to that appointment, please?

    I'm so sorry that they won't induce you.  I will definitely be sending you progress dust because I know you need a break from the headache.  I really hope your water breaks or you go into labor soon.  Definitely thinking about you.

    So sorry hun!  If you lived closer, I'd break your water for you!  ;)  Haha!  You never know though.  All those checks really mean nothing at this point, and he's right about you not being favorable right now.  You could really be in for a long day with an induction that's not successful.  I know that probably doesn't make you feel any better. :(  Here's to hoping it'll happen on it's own soon!

    I know how you feel.  I've been fingertip dilated for weeks and with all my cramping/contractions thought for sure I'd have made some progress at my appt. this week--no such luck.

    Most of the third trimester flew by for me, but these past few weeks have been going in slow motion.  I hope we both have our LOs soon!

    I'm sorry you didn't get good progress news at your appointment. Sending positive thoughts for labor to start soon so you can start feeling better (and meet that little one!).

    TTC#2: 4 cycles on clomid: BFNs
    BFP #3: Cycle #5 100mg clomid; beta #1 21; beta #2 6=CP 
    Cycle #6 break cycle TTC no meds=BFN
    Cycle #7: 150 clomid+ovidril+IUI=BFN (switched to RE)
