I just got my 1st beta's back at 18DPO and the nurse said over the phone that they were above 2000! She said I really don't need to come back in to do a repeat and that my numbers look great.

Of course, I loved hearing that. :) But, my OB said that to ease my mind I can come back in today and get a second one.

My guess is that most of you would want the second beta just to be sure they are doubling correct?

Or, should I just rest assure until my 8wk sono?

    If it were me, I would not get another one. I say that because I had the opposite experience as you. They told me they were to low. I cried for days. sat on pins and needles waiting for phone calls.  2000 at 18DPO is a great number. If you need to get another one for your own piece of mind. I can understand that too.

    Personally I would go again. It could not hurt and at least you are not waiting 3 more weeks for your appt.
