easy to clean humidifier?

we need to use a humidifier for LO & I am looking for one that is easy to clean.

I have this one now, but I am wondering if there is a humidifer that is easier to keep clean or if this is the norm.

which one do you have?  are you happy with it?  TIA!

I have the exact same one! But the penguin one. And I loved it until I realized how hard it was to clean just a few weeks ago when I finally took it out after a couple months of not using it during the summer! I can't freaking get my hand through that opening to clean the inside of the tank when it got grimy from sitting there unused and it's stuck! So I don't know what to do with it now because I don't want LO to breathe that stuff...

  • I have the Panda version of this and have found it to not be that difficult. What are you doing to clean it?

I have only had to clean it once (last night) and it wasn't that difficult, more time consuming.  The instructions said to put a bleach solution into the tank for 20 minutes and wipe out the basin with the same solution which is what I did.  I also saw on Amazon you could use vinegar.

This may be as easy as it gets when it comes to humidifiers & I am just lazy...I love the dishwasher & microwave sterilizing bags (hands down, best invention ever)!  I want to be able to use one of those to clean it!

  • We have the duck one.  I just empty it out every morning and let it airdry, but have never used anything else.  Glad you posted this b/c now I know I should be cleaning it with vinegar on the weekend!

this is a good idea...maybe this would be easier than doing the whole 20 minute routine every 4 days.

I know I sound lazy...but I've got to prioritize!  Stick out tongue
