Allergic baby, anyone else???

Asher had to go on Alimentum recently because we could not figure out what in my diet was/wasn't bothering him. He constantly has rashes, eczema, mucusy poo, etc... I started him on rice cereal, and wouldn't you know, he had a reaction! The pedi told me to take solids VERY SLOWLY, as his ige level is elevated. Now I'm afraid to give him anything. I am terrified of some kind of breathing problem! Anyone else going through this?

  • What brand was it?  Beechnut is the only brand without soy in it.  DS is on Alimentum Ready to Feed and is doing fine with Beechnut rice and oat cereal.  But be careful with oat, b/c it has gluten which some milk/soy babies are also sensitive to.

This is what I gave him because when I bought it, I was on the soy/dairy free diet. FYI, if you use this cereal, it tends to back your baby up!

I gave him Earth's Best rice cereal, we are waiting on bloodwork for milk/soy allergies. The gluten test was negative, thank goodness!
