Hello Ladies,

I recently had a miscarriage after over a year of my husband and I TTC. My questions is, how long after your miscarriage did it take for you to get pregnant?  Was it faster than the first time?  Thanks!

    I'm sorry for your loss. We followed our doctor's orders for TTC again (3 cycles post d&c, one post early loss). It took us the same amount of time for each pregnancy.

    My doctor told us to wait 2-3 cycles after my natural m/c.  We were fortunate to get pg after 2 cycles.  GL!

    We had to avoid for 2 cycles, then it took 3 more cycles. It took 2 cycles the first time. After my m/c, a LP defect showed up, so it took time for me to get that under control.
    BFP #1 9/23/09. Missed MC 10w3d D&C 11/3/09.

    BFP #2 4/13/10. Bridget born 12/28/10

    BFP #3 Finn born 8/11/15

    I had to wait about 2 months to start fertility treatments again.  Then it took 4 IUIs to get PG again.

    We had to avoid for 2 cycles per doctor's orders.  We were lucky to get pregnant the first month with the help of charting and OPKs.

    For me it was faster.  It took us 5 cycles to get pg the first time...we m/c that one.  I got pg the 1st time trying after that and had my son.  When we started TTC #2 I got pg the first time trying every time, though I had 3 m/c before actually getting a sticky one.

    It took exactly one year for us to conceive our first, which we lost at 10 weeks. I had a CP the next cycle (the doc told us we didn't have to wait at all) and then got pregnant again two cycles later. So it was much faster after the miscarriage. I had the exact same fears after my MC. It took so long the first time that I was convinced it would take another year. Best of luck to you.

    After waiting 3 cycles (after D & C) it took us 1 month..

    We had our m/c in July. My dr initially told us to wait 2 months before trying again, but other issues were found (septum) so I had to have surgery and all of that. After the surgery our RE said we just had to wait for AF to come and then we could try. Only took 2 cycles! GL!

    We miscarried our first pregnancy in early July at 7.5 weeks, it took 4 weeks for me to get my period, and then we got pregnant on that cycle (in August).

     I heard to wait 2-3 periods or at least for your 1st period (4-6 weeks) before you try again. So far Im 18 weeks and everything is looking good, thank God.
