Babies: 6 - 9 Months

:::::Starfish:::::

In a recent post we were discussing how we have to rock DD's to sleep and then hold them until its safe to put them down. I *think* I have heard you mention that your DD goes to DC. I was just wondering how they put her down for naps while she is there.

Re: :::::Starfish:::::

  • usually they wait till she's clearly tired and starting to get fussy. then they lay her down on her tummy (that's how she sleeps), put the paci in her mouth, and pat her bum till she falls asleep. it has never worked for me at home, but i do pat her bum when she wakes up at night to get her back to sleep. they also said sometimes she will fall asleep in their arms.

    is your dd in daycare? just wondering why you ask :)

    I'm a stay a home mom. My DH has been home with me for the past year due to an injury while he was on duty. He is scheduled to go back to work in January. I will be losing my 2nd set of hands. Our DD is very needy and during the day I am unable to get anything done! She likes to be entertained all.day.long. I need to figure something out with nap time, so I can use that time that I would normally be sitting on the couch holding her while she sleeps, for something more productive, like cleaning or getting dinner started.
  • yeah, that would be nice for you to be able to get stuff done!! maybe try what my daycare does.... hopefully it will work!?

    At this point, it's worth a try!
