Dedication

Anyone do one? How did you plan it? I'm thinking close family and lunch afterwards. I'm doing it right before her first birthday.

    We never got around to it because our church does them only a couple times a year and MIL (who works at the church) was working a few of them and didn't want to have to work during Ryan's dedication. But then we switched churches and are now church shopping.

    Having family/close friends over for lunch after sounds really nice!

    We actually had two.  One at my home church, where my parents still live.  And one at my husband's parents' church.  We are all the same religion, but live in very different parts of the country.  We simply called the pastor and set the date.  Both Grandmothers hosted lunches for friends and family afterwards.  It was a lot of fun. 

    BrandiBee - a dedication (in my church) is a small service committing the family and friends to raising the baby to know God.  My church really emphasizes the importance of the church community at large and Christian education.  HTH
