does anyone NOT do santa pics?

PAC apparently has a paralyzing fear of santa. We haven't had a santa pic of him since he was a newborn. Hoping that'll change, but there's no way this kid will get anywhere near any santa, even if we would make him (which we'd never). Is my kid the only one who's so terrified of santa he won't get near him?

My DD doesn't even like to look at him from a distance. She's terrified and always has been.

No way.  I think most of them are yucky myself, and I'm not going to stand in line with two kids, just to end up with a picture of screaming kids.

My son was always afraid as an infant/toddler and now at 4.5 can articulate that he doesn't want to do it.  We do go to the mall and sit and watch.  He enjoys that.  Sara likes to point Santa out but says she doesn't want to go sit with him.

I hate crying children on santa's lap pictures.  Every year people post them.  "lol! how cute!".  I think they're mean.

We celebrate Christmas but I actually have no interest in Santa pictures so we don't do them.

Us! My older one will wave at him across the room.  My little one cried when we tried putting him on Santa's lap at a breakfast with Santa event.  So we're skipping the photos this year.  Maybe one day they will like it....

Neither of my kids are afraid. Tthey do like to talk to Santa though and tell him what they want. I just don't go out of my way to get it done. I will not wait and I've never paid for a Santa pic.

When we were at my parent's cabin for Xmas, they did a whole tree lighting ceremony and Santa arrived on a fire engine. We saw Santa and got pics with him (for free...with my camera) then and they LOVED it.

And we were shopping yesterday so I let them go chat with Santa at the mall because there was no wait but there were no pictures taken even.

So I guess I'm in the middle in this whole "debate".

We went to a breakfast with Santa this week DS finally sat on Santa's lap no issues at 5.5, DD (3.5) took a little coaxing.  If my kids say they don't want to sit on Santa's lap I won't make them.  This is the first year we have pics.

DS isn't afraid of Santa, but there's no chance in hell I'd wait on the lines they have at the mall near me. We went to a breakfast with Santa at the local firehouse last weekend, and it was awesome. Pancakes, donation to the fire house and they let you take your own pictures with Santa. No line! That's the first time we've ever done it, and the only way I'd do it around here.
