Thanks eurobath mamas for all your input on my last post!! I didn't get a chance to respond cuz work's been so busy! But we stopped filling the water up so high (only halfway now) so he doesn't get it in his eyes so much. And then, we gave him some bath toys--these squirt toys by Sassy (which I got from a friend at the baby shower, even though I didn't have it on my registry--and we took them out for the first time since I got them 8 months ago!) made him laugh so hard! I've never seen/heard him laugh so crazily before!--and so then, B ended up liking the Eurobath!
He still hates to be in the infant area though (I think he's not used to leaning back that far, so he will lift up his head and strain the whole time), so we just had him sit in the toddler section but it's a bit too big for him...and slippery!! (do you guys notice that it's really slippery, even with just water and no soap? B almost slid off into the water but MH was there to grab him right away). So now, we put a towel under him to give it some traction, but it's kinda annoying to go through towels like that everyday...
Re: f/u eurobath
what's a PF?
oh sorry - a prefold diaper. same concept as using a towel, but we have more of them
no problem. Thanks!
I'm glad he's back to enjoying his bath! yay! Yeah, once LB learned to sit up, he wanted nothing to do with the infant side. Sometimes now I'll put him over there just for a change of pace, but he sits up.
We do that when we travel - put a towel in the bathtub under him, but then those aren't my towels to deal with all sopping wet.
Yea, maybe that is it! He just doesn't want to recline anymore. I still put him there when I'm washing his hair so the water doesn't get into his eyes but he's just trying to get up the whole time!
S--good to know I wasn't the only one who thought it was slippery! I thought that maybe B's butt was too smooth or something =P I have a silly question though (since we don't CD), are PF's larger than washcloths? Or as big as a hooded towel?
they're bigger than a washcloth, but much smaller then a hooded towel. roughly the size of 2 washcloths? say, 12"x14". but a handtowel would work just as well!
we use the cheapy gerber prefolds as burp cloths (they're sold by the dozen at BRU), so sometimes I'll just throw one of those in there. "real" PF's are thicker though, and I feel like they're more comfortable b/c they give more padding.
