mixing formula...

Question regarding to feeding LO while out in public (like while running errands). Can you put the measured amount of water in the bottle & then add the premeasured formula when LO is ready for a bottle? Sometimes I hate BFing in public & would love to be able to just giver her a bottle. Also, if I pump ahead of time, can I just leave it in the bottle at room temp & give to her when she's hungry??

  • I was told by the lactation consultant that breast milk can be left out for 4 hours after pumping.

We FF now and always keep bottles ready with room temp water and pre measure formula into a container to mix in when DS is ready. There is actually no reason for bottles to be heated so we have always done this and it works well for us.
