recs for wireless nursing bras?

I'm having a difficult time finding wireless nursing bras that are comfortable, have a nice shape and don't cost a fortune. I'm currently a 36F, although I could do a 38 band right now (I feel like I should stick with the 36 only because *I hope* I'll get smaller once the twins are born?!)

Everything I've tried cuts into the skin between my chest and my belly right now or the shape is terrible.

I bought two today from a pea in the pod, but I'm not in love with the fit and think I can do better at $40 a piece.

Any suggestions?

  • Hi...I'm a 36DD prepreg and 38DD pregnant and postpartum. I bought a 38DD at Target (Gillian O'Malley).  Try on some there...the 38DD I have is supportive but I may get the 38D to have extra support...the DD stretched out the tiniest but so I have to keep the straps super snug. HTH! Hope you find a great bra!

  • I loved my Bravado bra the best.  They're pricey but very comfortable and hold up well.  They have several styles, too - some with and others without underwires.

  • I second the Bravado. I got mine off of Diapers.com
  • I grew a good two cup sizes when my milk came in.  You can get a bra extender too so that you can go back and forth between sizes!

ETA: Oh and I have yet to find a comfortable nursing bra.  I wasn't spending enough.  I just purchased a Bravado today and hope that it fits right.

  • My favorite nursing bra is a wireless Elle Macpherson one...I know, who knew she had anything to do with bras!  But really, it's comfy and supportive...and I wear a size E.  Also, just a warning, your size will probably go up significantly when you have the babies...I didn't really think they could actually get bigger, but they truly did :)  I got the bra at a bra shop, the kind where they carry all brands and measure you, etc.  It wasn't cheap, but not ridiculous, and well worth it.
