ED or EOD?

Hello ladies!

When TTC, how often do you BD? Everything I've read says that the only reason to do EOD is if there is a problem with sperm motility, etc. However, many physicians still recommend EOD....why? Just curious to see what everyone on the board does, as I've found that you often know MUCH more than the MDs about fertility! :)

    Either is okay, especially when you're first starting. :) Even with every other day, you'll hit your fertile window.

    EOD during your cycle and ED during O time is good if there are no known sperm issues.

    We do EOD b/c of known sperm issues.  As sulfa said, you can do either one and be fine though.

    If you aren't doing OPKs and/or temping, ED could get exhausting, depending on what your pre-TTC schedule was like. Wink

    We are going to go for EOD until my fertile window and then ED through it hoping it will do the trick!

    We've been doing every day, up to and through O'ing. Then we backed off to every other day. We stopped altogether this week because I've been getting some pain in my side, but AF is due so thats probably why!

    Last time we got pregnant I got a positive OPK test and we did it every 12 hours because we both had off of work those days!  It was kinda tiring haha but it worked for us :)

    TTC SINCE 7/2010, BFP-10/2010 ended in miscarriage 11/2010 : (.....
    Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
    8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,
    10/11 Clomid 50mg =BFN progesterone level 31,
    11/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 12,
    12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
    01/12-Break from meds-BFN
    Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
    03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
    04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
    5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
    June and July-much needed break
    August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
    September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! MC 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
    December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*(
    July IVF #1- BFP! : )  Beta #1-245, #2- 703, #3- 1655, #4- 3553 YAY!  Praying and Praying this one sticks around!
                      1st U/S scheduled for Aug 23rd!

    DH I really only end up having sex on the weekends but that's because we only see each other on the weekends.  He works swings and I work days so it should be interesting TTC this way.  We do hit the mornings every once in a while but not as often as I would like.  Maybe some day we will be on the same work schedule.
