LOVE IT. My DH considered it but it didn't win out in the end. Our first son has a Welsh name (Drew) so I liked them together-- Drew and Rhys. I also think that the spelling is more masculine.

I like it, and I don't think it matters that you are not Welsh/Irish. I will admit though that I didn't realize this was the correct traditional spelling until I joined TB.
