We have been researching which crib to get for a few weeks and really like the babyletto modo, but it is only 35 inches tall. However, looking at most cribs, they seem to be between 35-40". Does this seem low or normal? How tall should a crib be?!
I hadn't noticed heights, but its something I will look heavily into soon. I'm only 5'3", I'd like to find the shortest crib possible, it would be easier on my back.
I think it has less to do with the overall height of the crib and more about the distance between the top rail and the lowest setting on the crib. That way, once they are standing up in the crib, you have a greater distance for them to try to crawl out. The greater the distance, the longer the crib will last you.
For DD, we started with the highest setting on the crib (I had a c/s and couldn't bend over far) and as she started sitting up on her own, we moved it to the lowest setting so she couldn't fall out or climb out of the crib.

I purposely picked a shorter crib because when it converts to a toddler bed I'll feel much better with the lower height.
We're getting the Graco Shelby https://www.walmart.com/ip/Graco-Shelby-Classic-Crib-Cappuccino/10759835
I was able to get Buy Buy Baby to match Walmart's price and then used the 20% off coupon.
