Trying to Get Pregnant

CM question

Hi Ladies : )

I know that it is better to temp in the AM, but I was curious if there was a specific time frame to check CM? Or, is it just kind of whenever or a "check throughout the day" sort of thing.

Thanks!

Re: CM question

  • I am new to charting so I haven't started charting CM yet (no way I'm doing that during AF haha), but I believe you're supposed to check around the same time every day.

  • Unlike temping, it actually doesn't matter what time you check. It's actually encouraged to check several times a day ( ETA: and then just record the "most fertile" CM you had). The easiest time to check is after going #2, as the "straining" will cause you to push the CM closer to the opening of your vag ( so you won't have to go digging as far up there). If you do this, please wash your hand first (after going #2 but before sticking a finger up there).

  • I check a few times throughout the day and always mark the most fertile cm I have.

  • Definitely check throughout the day and record the most fertile CM.

If you are checking cervical position, they say to do it at the same time every day b/c it will change throughout the day.

  • Well this is all good to know. I don't remember where I read to just check the same time every day.

I know this wasn't my post, but thanks ladies. Smile

ETA: Ah, that's what it was. CP was same time every day, CM is not. Oops!
