Update on my "tiny uterus"

First thank you for your responses of support.

During my HSG, my tubes were good, but they noticed the balloon filled my entire uterus and they were concerned.  The next day they inserted a cathater and pushed 3 syringes of saline solution into my uterus.  Normally only 1 syringe is used, but they wanted to see how much my uterus would expand.  Good news is my uterus can expand, but they found a polyp at the entrance of uterus.  Apparently that can be removed during IVF.

I am still in the dark as to when I will be allowed to move forward with IVF because they are too busy testing me, but I am not complaining.  Some of the tests I have declined due to cost of over $5,000 for one test alone!

I think we are going to apply for an IVF loan next month.

In the meantime I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season....I am a grinch. I am ready to wave goodbye to 2010 and move on to 2011.  It has to get better.

I am glad that your uterus is able to expand.  Hopefully they will be ready to get your started on IVF right after the new year.

I am dying to know what test that they wanted to preform that was going to cost $5000.

glad to hear your ute expands!  hooray!  hopefully everything else goes smoothly and you'll be able to start IVF SOON!! 

i can't believe the cost of some of those tests!  that's crazy!

Glad everything is okay with your uterus (minus the polyp). I hope you will be able to go forward with your IVF soon, remove the polyp, and get your take home baby! Here?s to 2011 :-)

Good news, it sucks about the polyp but at least they can treat that!! I'm right there with you about being ready for 2011! Good luck as you continue to move forward, we're all here for you!

I'm glad the test went well.  I hope you can start IVF and get the polyp taken care of.  I had one removed last year and it wasn't bad at all.  GL!

Thanks for the support! The blood word was for testing implantation.  Apparently it is a series of blood and one of them must be frozen.  I don't recall the details because as soon as I heard $5,000 I tuned them out know I was not going to participate in that fun test.
