Movie Monday

This weekend, I've come to realize that I haven't bought a new movie in about 1 year.  In fact, I don't think I've gone to see a movie in the theater since S was born.  Thank goodness for Redbox - it has been my saving grace.

So I'm looking for ideas - what is your favorite movie?  What movie can you watch over and over again?

This weekend, S and I watched "Rent".  She wasn't watching it, but would "bounce" when the heavy rock songs would come on.  Here's hoping she likes musicals when she grows up!

I love old movies, especially anything with Audrey Hepburn or James Dean.

Then there's John Hughes - always awesome!

Have a soft spot for old Cameron Crowe - specifically Say Anything and Singles.

As for current film, I haven't been a frequent film-goer in years. In fact, the last movie I saw in a theater was when I saw Julie and Julia with my mom more than a year ago :(

I can't think of what my one favorite movie is, maybe Breakfast At Tiffany's or Shakespeare in Love.

But in addition to the above, movies I can watch over and over:

Grease (and yes, Grease 2 also)

Pride and Predjudice (the 6 hour Colin Firth BBC version)

    Memphis Belle

    The Hangover

    Bad Santa

    Enchanted

    Breakfast Club

    The Pirate Movie

    Arsenic and Old Lace

    Baby Boom

ETA: I haven't seen a movie in a theater since before C was born either.

We actually "borrow" most of our movies from the library!

I like comedies so I could watch movies like Office Space and 40 Year Old Virgin a million times.  And of course the 80's classics like Sixteen Candles.  Most recent movie was Away We Go, which was recommended in a thread here a few weeks ago for the AP segment which was so funny I peed myself laughing!
