My first appointment isn't til Jan 11th, 9 weeks. I was just wondering what I should expect at my first visit? I'm going to a midwife, so I was wondering if that makes a difference in what they do at the first visit.
Every office is different, I would call and ask what happens so you aren't disappointed/surprised by anything.
In my experience, I had my first appt at almost 6 weeks and they did bloodwork, a pelvic exam, family history, and I got an u/s.
This is what happened with 3 of my pregnancies. This time we will also have an ultrasound, but it will be about 2 weeks after the first appointment. I definitely agree with calling to find out for sure, though.

Every office is definitely different. Mine does medical history, an ultra-sound to date the pregnancy, & lots of bloodwork. Pelvic exam is usually at the second appointment if I hadn't had one in the last year.
