Hemp Inserts

So I have noticed quite a few people suggesting help inserts for a more absorbant/trim diaper.  I just so happen to have about 4 yards of hemp fleece from making a few fitted diapers.

To make inserts, how many layers should I use?  Should I use 3 layers and serge around the edges? or would 2 be fine?  Thanks

I modeled mine after AFFFs.  2 layers in a long rectangle that can be trifolded to give 6 layers.  Dries much faster that way.  I got 6 from one yard of hemp fleece.
