Hi Ladies. First off, my name is Brandi and my husband and I have been TTC for 15 months. I was diagnosed with PCOS in Jan of this year, began Metformin, lost 20lbs and started charting. I got a BFP Thursday and I have a question.
I have this strange dull ache in my lower abdomen. I don't think it's even in the region of my ute but I could be wrong. It seems too high to be that. I almost think it might be a UTI, but I'm not sure. I've been in a constant state of nausea for 4 days so I've been downing water and ginger ale like it's going out of style. Short of calling my doctor, which I'm doing tomorrow morning anyway, I'm kind of nervous about the ache based on some research I found on this site.
Has anyone else felt this? I feel like I'm losing my mind and way over-analyzing things, but I'm so afraid we're going to lose this baby that I can't help it. Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.
Re: Intro and a Question
Welcome and congrats!!! I am also a PCOS girl.
I have felt a ton of twinges, pulls, cramps, aches, etc that has been FREAKING me out. Tomorrow is my first u/s so i'm hoping that will help calm my nerves.
My RE assured me that there is no need to worry unless you start seeing bright red blood. I wouldn't let it shake you up too much until you speak with them directly.
I know I can't help much. Just know i'm thinking of ya!!
My advice is to definetly keep taking the Metformin. (Not to freak you out) but my RE said he sees more of a m/c rate with those not taking their meds for PCOS.
Good luck!! Sending you positive vibes!
Welcome! I had dull cramps also. They seem to be stronger at the begining of week 4. They have pretty much went away now (knock on wood).
Congrats on your BFP!
