We went to the party!

We had fun at the party!  We were the only non family invited.  This is Klaire's BFF from school and I was honored to be included.  sometimes it is hard for me to go to places where I don't know anyone and I literally only knew Klaire and her friend.  Everyone was very welcoming.  No food was served though.  It was 1-3:30. There wasn't a cake, there was a fruit tart because according to the grandma "fruit is so much better than cake!"!!  Well, not according to me and Klaire!  LOL!  I left and got a burrito because I was starving.

I think it is uber cheesy that they didn't serve any food though. WTF?

And just to clarify, I didn't leave mid party to get the burrito.  I stopped on the way home after the party!

No food IS super tacky! You should never let guests go hungry at your house. Even at a non-meal time, I make sure I have enough food to fill up an empty stomach! And no cake? Yeah, fruit's better for you, but it's a birthday party. Surely you could let them have some sugar.
