Would you go to this party?

Klaire was invited to a party today from 1-3pm.  It is about 45 minutes away.  The problem is it will be about 8 degrees feels like -11.  Wind advisory but that should end at noon.  I know I'm being wimpy but I would rather stay in.  it is a daycare friend Klaire loves and I have never met the family.  Also, I have never been to this city before either- so I will need to mapquest etc.  I did RSVP though.  I feel like I need to go but I don't want to.  So, would you miss a party because it is cold?

Re: Would you go to this party?

  • yep. Just warm the car beforehand. It's only Dec, it's going to be a long winter.

  • If the party is indoors I see no reason not to go because its cold. But if you don't want to go then don't, just give them a heads up thar your not going to show.

  • Cold? No.

The snow we're supposed to be hit with today-Wed? Yes.

As Rebekah said, it's going to be a long winter. Any entertainment is welcome.

  • I would.  But unless there's a huge snowstorm or massive icing I don't let weather keep me home if I have somewhere to be.  Cold stinks, but if you start staying in because of it in December it'll be a really long winter.

  • If its just cold, yes, I'd go. If we stayed in for the cold we'd never go anywhere.

The blizzard warning we currently have would probably keep my home, though. Smile

  • You ladies are right.  I just looked up the directions.  Klaire will be so excited to see her BFF from school!  I need to not be so wimpy - after all I do live in Nebraska!!
  • I am in the same town as you and am hosting my sons birthday party today. ?I was be upset if people cancelled today just because of the cold, especially since I planned out enough food for everyone. ?If it was like yesterday, then I would totally understand.

Yesterday was so much worse!  I know.  This will be my first time going to Lincoln!  Hope the party goes well!

  • Yeah, I'd still go.  I have to MAKE myself go to some of DS's friends' bday parties, but I do it for him.  He always has an absolute blast (even at girls' parties).  I'd print directions before we left the house, bundle up and go and have a good time.
