Why am I still a newbie?

My avatar says I've been a member since 2008 (I guess that's when I joined the Knot) and I've been posting fairly regularly on the Bump since I got pregnant back in May of this year. So why does my avatar still say newbie? What is that based on? Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me!
