dr seymor goldberg?

Does anyone see Dr Goldberg or his son and what are your thoughts?

Re: dr seymor goldberg?

  • That was our Dr when #2 was born.  Love the son, Ori.  He's great and really cool.  However, I HATE the front desk girl.  She was rude and "took messages" for the Dr, but in the end, Ori told me he never got any messages.  Because of all the anger and frustration that I went through the first 4 weeks (jaundice, constipation, ezcema, and also wanting reassure that the baby was okay from the catagory D thyroid meds I was on, etc...) I had to make the switch.  I felt really bad about it because he seems like a really caring Dr but I want a good front office person too because they're responsible for a lot of my kids care (i.e. appt, message, referrals, etc..)  It literally took me to go ape sh!t on the phone after calling for 2 weeks and not getting one call back from the Dr before she handed the phone over. They do have a 24/7 care thing where if you called after hours, it'll hit directly to his cell phone.  I just never called afterhours because I thought that what I was asking is more of a "leave a message and wait kind of thing versus emergency".  In the end, that's what I should have done and he mentioned that that's what he wished I would have before I decided to leave.

The father is very old fashion (i.e. DD had jaundice and he said to give her sugar water and it should go away).  I'm a new technology kind of girl and that office wasn't really in the new age (all the equipment is very old).  And the Dr takes all their notes on index cards and puts it in their pockets.

Sorry for the long reply!  hahaha  Overall, Ori Goldberg is great.  But for the overall office experience...I made a switch.

  • Thank you Lisa for your response!
  • The Goldbergs are a father and son combo.  You either see Ori or Seymor during your visit.

We were introduce to Dr. Ori Goldberg while my son was at the NICU for 74 days.  Dr. Ori visited my son everyday (Sunday to Saturday) and looked over his medical chart and called us everyday to give us an update on what's going to happen and pretty much explained to us what the NICU staff was doing.  Even though, we were there at the NICU everyday and spoke with the nurses and Neonatologists.  It was nice to hear the information again and to ask questions we forgot to asked

Anyways, I do have to agree that the front desk is a little ?old fashion? and the $5 dollar parking blows.

But overall, we stayed with Dr. Ori because he knew our son?s case and we like the 24/7 call.  I?ve called several times from 10pm. 2am, to even 6am. And everytime I think my son was sick, he was seen the next day.
