Tell me there's hope please. I can't remember when DS stopped screaming in his carseat. How old was your LO when they didn't hate the car anymore? (If they hated the car, obviously)

we found out that if we don't sit in the back with her, she does SO much better. if she can see us, she wants out! we also have to hold her paci in a lot, which is a pain from the front seat, but if she's not screaming!
For Thanksgiving we taveled by car 9 hours each way - now she sleeps almost every time she's in the car - it is SO much better than screaming every time. I think the amount of car time made her used to it? She's 4.5 months.
Good luck!
TTC #2 since April 2012
Year 1 - nothing
Year 2 - two m/c
Year 3 - unexplained diagnosis & 4 failed IUIs with
Clomid/Letrozole
Year 4 - still unexplained & 3 failed IUIs with
Follistim & Ovidral
When DH and I go somewhere, I sit in the back with her. Otherwise she cries.
When it's just me and her, she cries sometimes, but will sleep depending on how far I'm going. I usually just turn the radio on and that will calm her for a bit.
We just recently switched to a convertible carseat because LO seemed to hate the bucket so much, he'd scream the whole time! Now he gets fussy at the beginning but passes out pretty fast. I think the convertible carseat gives him more room to stretch out.
DD HATED!! her infant seat, so we made the hard decision to switch her to her convertible seat when she was about 2 1/2 months old. It made such a HUGE difference on even the first day. Now we have no car seat issues at all.
i try to give Eme toys and a paci this will occupy her..for a lil while! she seems to be getting better, now she can lift her head to see out the windows. at night its worse i think because she cant see anything! ive heard once they get turned around its much better. heres hoping!!
Re: Does your LO still hate the car?
