Maternity clothes

I just got back from Christmas shopping with a friend who had a baby over a year ago. She gave me a ton of maternity clothes that she won't need for a while. Thank God for her it saves me a ton of money!

I got a bag of clothes from a friend today as well! I'm going to have buy my own pants though - there's no way I'm fitting into her old ones

I lucked out as well...an attorney my mom cleans for passed along a ton of maternity clothes...several bags worth!

It's so awesome to get maternity clothes passed down the line. I have a couple of friends that lent me stuff and I have lent stuff out as well.

Just a heads up though, if you lend out stuff make sure it's to people you know you'll get it back from. I lent a co worker a couple of things and then she quit and never gave me my clothes back.2

My sister lent me her stash of clothes...it consisted of 3 shirts and a pair of jeans.  She apparently had these items in heavy rotation...there's no way I'll be wearing them.  I'm just going to return them at the end and pretend I wore them.

I did snag two shirts from Motherhood for $10 each last night though.  I'll definitely be going back to get more clothes.  The only part of their jeans that are stretchy is the belly portion, the legs are actual denim.  I almost hugged a pair in the store last night I was so happy.  I cannot stand stretchy jeans.

I got some cute shirts at Ross for $10 or less! They don't have a HUGE selection (maybe about 10-12 different styles), but they are pretty cute & don't even look like maternity shirts!

Hey this was posted on 2nd tri the other day, but for those of us who aren't getting hand me downs, Nordstrom Rack has some super cute stuff for like $20ish/item, usually like 70% off.  Better than the regular sale selection.  It's mostly spring and summer which is what I know I'll need the most anyway.  I got shorts, 2 pairs of capris, a dress, a swimsuit, a tank, sheer long sleeve top, and a pair of sandals for $175.  Not bad.  This is the suit I got https://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3088576?origin=category&resultback=1106

Lucky. None of my friends are near my size/length so I didn't get any A friend of mine who's not TTC anytime soon buys maternity clothes in her size so when she does get PG she has stuff to wear.
