WDYT of this for a girl? I heard it today and it peaked my interest. I have an Irish last name and hubby loves "Madison" for a girl which I have vetoed due to popularity and the -son ending which seems masculine to me.

lol- apparently I am the sole 'yea' vote here. I like it. I have a friend who named her daughter Maddigan and I liked it then too, but of course, can't use it now
I'm not surprised so many people don't like it (are there any names that get an overwhelming on this board?) But i'm a bit surprised about the comments about it being "made up" and trying to be Madison. It's an old Gaelic name, and was derived from the biblical name Magdeline. It is a girls name, but can also be used for boys, so I guess it makes sense that people don't see it as super feminine.
Hubby was a bit iffy about it when I mentioned it to him, but lucky for us, this one's a boy, so it's off the list for now
Thanks for the input!
