How big does a follie need to be to produce a mature egg? I am sure there is a big range but I want to know the minimum, whether it is medicated or not.

Okay thanks! I had a follie that was 15.75 mm (not the biggest one) and I used HCG about 10 hours later so I was curious if that would have matured a bit more before the ovary released it and also if it was big enough to produce a good egg.

The trigger shot causes it to mature a bit quicker and "ripens" it.

My 2 follies on Wednesday morning were 13 and 11-12. I am supposed to do my trigger tonight and IUI on Sunday. My nurse said that that was enough time for the follies to grow to 16 or bigger.
Awesome! Good luck with this IUI!
